I guess I was having a moment of frustration and depression when I mentioned others that I knew personally that were receiving disability that appeared to be busy out living their lives to the fullest while I am feeling "trapped" like a shut-in due to my debilitating pain and multiple conditions.

I sincerely apoligize to all I may have offended.

I think it's just something that those of us that been around for any length of time, we try to be careful of making those claims because the public can be very nasty to anyone collecting SSDI. The approval process is not the snap for most applicants that the public assumes (in most cases.) It can take months or years, and require an overwhelming amount of documentation to prove the low level of function SS requires.

I suspect that at least a decent percentage of those collecting that others question their disability, likely have a psych disorder, but they want to protect their privacy and so tell other's that they were approved for a physical issue. Just food for though.

On the other hand, if someone truly is committing fraud, that aggravates us even more. So, if truly believe it's happening, than you should alert SS. (When confronted with this option very few are willing to do so...)

I will be hiring a lawyer if they deny me again on this new claim. So far, I have not been denied. They are just wanting me to go to a mental and physical evaluation with their doctors. I have all my health problems documented. I have needed and been trying to get disability benefits since 2009. Don't know what else I can do. I can't afford any more doctors than I have been to. I have medical records for all of my health problems.
I am just going to show up to the exams looking like I usually do. Wearing sweats, no makeup etc. I am not going to try and hide how badly I am feeling anymore and how little functioning I have. Please pray for me. I honestly am in need of disability. I have worked my entire life. I would rather work. I am unable to. I go to the mental and physical exam at the end of July. I will let you know how it goes.
