Thumbs up It happened!!

Hello Everyone, it was exactly 4 wks from my hearing date and I actually received a phone call saying that my claim was approved, I made the lady tell me about 5 times and made my fiancé turn the shower off so she could clarify it was actually happening. This is a type of closer that was needed for me, my validation to move on...with security is a new feeling...feeling as I finally get what I deserved fit into my life for the first time. The judge did say it would take him 4-5 wks but I read so much that I did not get my hopes up. So I just thought I would share with you more of my story. I wish you all luck and will follow up with payment in hopes that goes well as planned! Thanks for whoever takes the time to read this!!

Hbelair21, I just want to mention that once you're married your partner's income will effect your SSI eligibility. I know someone that was on SSI and didn't realize that was an issue until after getting married, so just a heads up.

Thumbs up

Thank you so much for the happy dance!!! Much appreciated!!!
And about the sis when I get married...I looked into it. There are some loopholes in the system I've been told but I absolutely appreciate the looking out!

What possible loopholes are you talking about? If you are married and living with your spouse and receive SSI (not SSDI) then his/her income will be considered and if high enough, used in your payment computation. There are variables but no loopholes.
