I wrote a letter to my Congressman about 3 weeks ago. Their office called me a couple of days ago; I was thrilled that they took me seriously, unlike SSA and several other places I've tried to get help from.
She said she called my local SSA office and they said my claim is still being processed. Amazing how she got through isn't it, since my attorney's rep has tried to call them many times, leaves messages, and doesn't hear back. Anyway, she told me about how I can file a "financial hardship" thing through my attorney, which I emailed my attorney rep about but haven't heard back yet so she must be finding out what it is. I hope I get lucky and that the Congressman inquiry itself somehow speeds up my claim. Otherwise I am still frustrated. I am still severely depressed, still disabled....my therapist filled out the SSA form saying I can't work, my psychiatrist filled out the form saying I can't work, I filled out the self-report, and my third party did too, yet here I am hearing nothing from them. Just hanging on to little things like the fact that the Congressman's office actually looked into my case. |
