I was in absolute shock to receive a call today from my new worker on my appealed 2nd claim. I've never, in over 2 years, had SSA do anything that efficient, personable, helpful, or remotely human. He just needed to ask a question about a support group I go to, to see if he should request records from them. I let my attorney know about it.
I am still so shocked after all the horrible crap I've been through with SSA that I'm wondering if someone played a joke on me or if it's something sneaky SSA did to find another reason to deny me again. I truly feel traumatized from trying to get SSI, in itself. Traumatized, suspicious, paranoid, untrusting, and wounded. For anyone who doesn't know my story, this is my 2nd claim, filed 6/24/13. Denied 9/24/13. Appealed 9/30/13. Bipolar II, Borderline, PTSD, anxiety, depression. First claim filed 6/18/11 and denied the whole way through, including hearing. |

Did your new worker receive your atty's LOR? What did your atty say when you called about the PC you received?

All the attorney rep said when I told her was that it sounded like they'd assigned me a new worker to my appeal very quickly. She said that was great because clients had been telling her they'd been waiting several weeks to get a new worker on their claim appeals.
