Default Hearing letter

I just got home from the doctors and in the mailbox was a letter from the ODAR office. I had my 2 hour long hearing on 10/30/13.

I opened the letter today and read the words ---- Fully favorable! with an onset date of December 2010.

This was the greatest Christmas gift I could have ever gotten! Please everyone keep the faith. It is a long road but it feels so good when in the end they finally hear you.

Congratulations!

I'm still waiting on a hearing... this whole process is frustrating and seems to take forever

Oh I know your pain. My lawyer was a tough one to deal with too which made things harder. She tried to get me to change my onset date before the hearing. I refused, I knew I had enough medical records to back my claim. She was so insistent. If I would have let her change my onset date I would be losing close to 25K in back pay and having to wait longer for medicare to kick in.

Just stick to your guns with everything. Don't let anyone talk you out of things. I told her if the judge wants to change it then let him do it.

Well, the judge agreed with me. So it shows you need to go with your heart. If you know that you were disabled in your heart you just need to convince the judge that is it.
