There's actually a secure URL to the SSA page that everyone is saying isn't secure but I can't post it just yet because I need 10 posts to post a URL. This post will be my 5th.
I'm working on it. :) |
SSDI review
Hello everyone im new to this site I have been on disability since 1996 in 2010 I received a disability update report I fill it out and I received a letter a month later telling me that they didn't have to contact my doctor at this time and my next review is 7+ yrs which would be 2017 im trying to understand the coding they use on a disability update report does anyone know on the front of the scanner on disability update report if it say L/0048 is that consider low and I don't know what profiling score of 0048 meaning does it mean not expected to improve I just hate these reviews it bad enough that people on SSDI are sick and not feeling will we have to stress about the medical reviews if anyone can help me with the the code thank you and im glad to be here as a new member
|
0048 is very low....they go up to 9999. the higher the number, the greater the chance of a long form full cdr. low is where you want to be. right before that number should be a profile type, high , medium or low.

Im new to this site and I know I posted the same question a few times but just wondering if anyone knows on my disability update report on the front page where the where your ss number and d.o.b and other information im a 7+yrs medical review cycle just wondering if anyone knows if L/0048 is the L -Low and what does LOW mean I know their are LOW MED and HIGH so with the L/0048 does this mean not expected to improve not that I what to be on disability all these years but I cant even leave my house I have nerve damage in my head which makes me dizzy 24 hrs a day its horrible just don't feel like going with a long form full medical review so anyone what does L/0048 mean does this mean not expected to improve I think this is some profiling scoring SSA does Help ?
|
yes improvement not expected and a very low chance of getting a long form cdr
|
Sable in all likelihood you will receive a short form to start. It is important you continue to seek appropriate treatment, but SS only asks for info going back 12 months from the time you receive your CDR. Working pt or going to school or stating your condition has improved on the short form CDR would all trigger the long form CDR.
This is an excellent guide to read before you fill out the short form CDR: http://nymakesworkpay.org/docs/Guide_CDR.pdf It explains why you should never use the comments section of the short form or update personal info. |
Hello I live in New Jersey does anyone know where the medical reviews comes from and who make the decision on medical review dairy would it be your local social security office or a social security headquarter

my first one was after 7 years and now this one was after 3 years almost to the exact day. im scheduled for a 3 year review even though i have a very low number like you. if you are scheduled for 7 year review you will probably get one after 7 years.

Did you get the short form with the 6 questions or the full medical review and why did you have a medical review dairy of 7yrs and then 3 yrs if ur profile was LOW my first disability update report (short form) was in 2010 and now my next medical review is in 2017 -7yrs on your second review did you get the short form also and why was your review date changed from 7 yrs to 3 yrs you have been helpful and I hope im not bothering you thank you for any information
|
i got the short form both times......the diary was for 3 years all along, it was just delayed that long due to backlogs. they are also making it a priority right now to get those out on time.
why i have a 3 year instead of 7 with such a low number is a good question. my number is not far from yours. |

Apparently more beneficiaries have to undergo a Long Form CDR based on being randomly selected, than because their Short Form triggered a Long Form CDR.
https://secure.ssa.gov/poms.nsf/lnx/0440502001 "When a mailer is completed, there are two possible outcomes depending on the information received. One outcome is a “DO CDR” (mailer to be referred for a full medical CDR) that results in a full medical CDR that occurs in about 2.5% of the completed mailers. The other outcome is to defer doing a full medical CDR, resulting in a mailer deferral action." "As a result of integrity sampling, approximately 5% of the mailers received are referred for processing as full medical CDRs despite responses which may otherwise indicate that a deferral action is proper." https://secure.ssa.gov/poms.nsf/lnx/0428015310 Age and length of time collecting SSI/SSDI are factored when determining a beneficiary's RFC during the CDR process. Also, the Short Form CDRs (which really aren't CDRs but that's how they're generally referred to) are sent from Wilkes-Barre, where as Long Form CDRs (full medical reviews) are sent from your state DDS (or sometimes another state's DDS). |

[QUOTE=sable081;1161340]Im not understanding what you are saying? I have been on disability benefits since 1996 had one short form review and it was deferred in 2010 my next medical review is 2017 7years im 51 now and have additional mental problems

I edited my post, so it might be more clear now. Older beneficiaries that have been on SSI/SSDI for more than 7 years will be unlikely to have a Cessation of Benefits. So, you may or may not get additional Short Form CDRs or perhaps even a Long Form CDR, but unless you start working consistently at or near the SGA level, odds are very high your benefits will continue. |

my review period was never changed, it has always been 3 years. It just took SSA 7 years to get around to sending me the short form which i was scheduled to get after 3 years. they were backlogged at the time. I dont know why im scheduled for a 3 years review instead of 7 year review considering how low my profile number is also

when you get the short form mailer there are codes on it and one of the codes was for a 3 year diary type. that is how i know that i was still on 3 year.

yes, it is the period of time for a scheduled review at the time you get the mailer......it may not be the period of time for future reviews....that number can change.

Hi sable081,
If my memory is working, I think I got an email, too. I did go check "MY SS account" and there was nothing new there. I believe you are correct,.... anyone that has established an account with SSA, is getting an automatic email notice to check their account. Not to be considered anything specific to a particular individual. I think it is a blanket email sent to everyone that has established an online account with SSA. (Whether on disability or NOT.) |
