Default This new debt ceiling problem.

Hi.

I just read on yahoo that at the end of the month, there might be a default and that the Treasury has to decide who will get their checks. Unless the debt ceiling is again raised which it has been done 19 times since 1993.

Not that i completely understand all of this. It seems like they are scaring all the Social Security recipients once again.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks much

I also read they are going to cut veteran retiree benefits. Good Grief

Mel

Link please?

In all the articles I've read about this, SS & SSD were not even mentioned. The cuts pertained to the military.

I clicked on this and scrolled down to No. 9.

It really doesn't give any answers, that's why I posted.

Thanks much

Interesting. However, I do agree w/what #9 stated..."It won't." If it were or even an inkling, it would be all over the tv evening & late night news and front page news in all the local newspapers.

Crossing my fingers as well as my toes. Throwing salt over both shoulders just for good measure.

Thanks much
