Default Review question

Hi all!! Well I got the short form CDR a couple of months ago, and filled it out and sent it back on the same day. tried not to sweat it too much since I am still one messed up unit.

But you know how it goes......in the back of your mind you are wondering if they will do the review that they said could happen in the letter that came with the CDR.

Well....I got a letter today telling me they "were" going to review the disability case. However, they do need to review the case at this time. Therefore they will not contact the doctor now.

Does this mean business as usual, or should I be worried?

Was there a reason why SS is looking deeper? Are you working or going to school? Is your condition the same, improved, or worse? Are you seeing your docs often?

It was the 7 year short form CDR. Im guessing, but I think the letter is telling me everything stays, but I havent ever had a CDR before, so I dont know what is next. Should I be expecting more?

Did you mean they do not need to review at this time? If so, then you won't likely receive another short form for another 7 years, although working would trigger an earlier CDR.

Yeah I dont work and see my doctor regularly. I guess my answers were enough to say "no review".

Whew!

Allen... Sorry, what you wrote is confusing...
You got the short form, filled it out, sent it back. Ok, that part makes sense...
It's tHe next part I don't understand....?

Got a letter saying they WERE going to review your case
However, they do need to review the case at this time
Therefore they won't contact doctor.

I am very confused, blame it on my RSD. but, possibly you meant to word it different, or your computer did some auto correct? Lit-Love seems confused too... So maybe it is not just me?

SS was going to review, then say they need to review, but won't be contacting your doctors?

Yep, got the short form CDR and filled it out...sent it back the same day.

I cant remember how long ago, maybe a month or so ago. a few days ago I got a letter from SSA. Maybe if I just type what it says, maybe it will be easier to understand. You see I am kinda confused too LOL!!! The reason why I even asked here.

This is what is says.......

Quote:
We sent you a letter telling you that we were going to review your disability case. However, we do not need to review your case at this time. Therefore, we will not contact your doctor now. We will keep any information that you have given us.
Then it just goes into the "Things to remember". Report changes etc.

So is that it? Or should I be wondering what is next?

Oh, your first post left out the not- I think that was confusing to members.

[]However, we do not need to review your case at this time]

I think you are fine, they decided to not look into your case any deeper at this time.

Allen, that makes a bit more sense....

Jo*mar, yes, that was what was confusing me too....

Allen, I hope that letter means you can relax, and will not have to worry about review for a few years again.

It will soon be 5 years since I was approved, and I am starting to worry about getting the CDR, so I know how you feel!

You know, the CDR wasnt all that bad......well at least the short form wasnt. I filled it out in about 5 minutes. Then looked at it for 10 minutes wondering if that is all they wanted. I just told the truth.

Once I decided it was good....I wasnt worried if they do check. Lol.

Just this letter was so short and sweet. It threw me.
