Default ssd question

im posting for a friend. reason he has no computer. hes 61 and has been on social security disabilty since 04. when does it convert to social security retirement. he was born in 1953, so im thinking he has to wait until hes 65. thank you

At age 66 if he was born before 1955. That is his full retirement age.
