Default Psych eval for my reconsideration Normal????

Well I'm in the Reconsideration part of this for my TBI, Brain Tumor. I have had two brain surgeries and now have seizures and tbi. SS wanted a Psychological eval for my reconsideration request. Which I thought was weird.
During that I broke down bawling. It was horrible. I felt so stupid. The dr was very nice. He told me it's all part of the tbi. I couldn't read numbers back, because I couldn't remember them. I don't understand how this is a psychological eval?
He told me that he was submitting to social security that there was significant damage and significant anxiety and depression???

My question...is this pretty normal to have done with a brain injury?

I don't know if it is normal for people w brain injury but I hear it is a normal request. For me my attorney kept asking the judge if he want a psychological exam, the judge said it was not necessary due to my medical records.
Put your mind at ease. And try not to feel silly because you body has gone through a lot.

Awe thank you! I'm feeling a little less beaten up by it. I think the reality of it was just hard.

Change usually is hard when it's to our body. Keep us posted and updated.
