Quitting now won't make a difference. They'll determine whether or not your condition has improved enough for SGA or not.

Most if all are under the 20 hours per week. I keep at 14-15 hours per week. I contacted my NSG to follow up on the size of my aneurysm and to get a CT scan of my neck since I've had additional pain in my neck - so hopefully I won't have to have this annie coiled... It's been a couple years since I've had the annie checked... |
SSA cares about your ability to perform Significant Gainful Activity, which is $1130 per month in 2016. The amount of hours you work is only a factor because of the income, so it really depends on your hourly wage. If you're making anywhere near SGA, you might be found to longer be eligible for SSDI.

I'm making around 600 per month and well under the 80 hours per month - so I'll be ok. I think...

Keep us posted no matter what then we all can learn... From how I understand it, you get SS because you cant work....that is my case. |

I think it's important to at least try to work - I don't know if I'll be successful at this attempt but at least I'm making the effort to see if it will work for me. I'm not trying to game the system. I'm just trying to see if I *can* work too. I also don't want to lose my benefits because TTW did not answer my emails/phone calls when I did attempt to contact them. |
I guess I have my answers - my neuro thinks due to the -3- cerebral aneurysms that were found that I need to take a break from my work attempt.
Explains a lot - and the aneurysms are probably from my semi-truck accident 4 years ago - I still have to have the angiogram to determine the best way to address 2 of the aneurysms..sigh. At least I have an answer to my headaches.. |
From June 2016 to today October 22, 2016 - I finally received notice that I will NOT be reviewed further and no need to contact my doctor and my benefits will continue uninterrupted.
I continue to forward the pay information to SSA via mail and there hasn't been any issue - I guess - I KNOW for a fact there is NO way I could work full time. NO WAY - but it is beneficial to be able to interact with people and get out of the house. I am thankful that I can do this - even though I pay in pain at the end of a shift. It is somehow worth it to me. |
