I went from workman's comp to full disability end of 2014(80% rule)....Sometime in August(2015) I got it straightened out!
I got the name of the person and her extension, which so very much helped! After 6 months she said I will escalate and look into this closely... So I called her every 4 to 6 week, and left messages if she didnt answer. |

Thank you for responding. I never thought of the Senator route. Good idea. If you know someone that can help, in Social Security, that is willing to work on it, please share! I am literally loosing hair here. The fact that all the Reps on the other end of the phone can do at SS is tell me that they can only leave the processing center a message to contact me. They say there is nothing else anyone can do. Why they are responding to all the messages to contact me I have no idea. It is a feeling of helplessness I have never known. There HAS to be some way to find out what the processing center is doing!?

I agree.... Contact your local Senator or Congressperson for help.
Let them know there is a problem and what it is, and that you are in dire need , and keep contact with them until you get it resolved.. Members have used this suggestion for medical and other concerns.

He asked if he should hire an attorney. It is possible to hire an attorney to help with CDR denials after approval, but it would inappropriate in this situation, IMO.

*UPDATE*
I called a non-local number to see if anything different could be done. They assured me that the local office did everything anyone can do. Leave a message with the processing center. However, they did tell me that they see no correspondence in, or out of their office as to contacting me after all the messages. They told me that the reason I have not gotten payments at all the last 2 months is my account says differed. I have no idea what that means. I am writing my senator, Congressman, President, anyone I can. What do people do when they can not work, have no income, cannot access the money they have been paying in for years? My local Medicaid office is helping a lot. But it is not enough. I will keep you posted. Anyone know what differed means to SS? I know what the term means. but what do they mean? |
