Default New here with a question on SSDI Appeal

Hi, I have an SSDI appeal under review for migraine headaches/post concussion syndrome.

About 5 weeks ago I got a call from the SS office I took this as a GREAT sign as my initial application is from June 2017. We played phone tag but it was basically them telling me "Your case was approved, but we needed more info"( Like was my address the same, did I need a payee?" Are these 2 kids still minors? )

Any one have any idea how much longer it takes to get paid from this point ?

The web site still says " The web site info is last dated April 10th with "

Appeal Under Review

A medical decision has been made and we are working to process your decision. A Social Security Representative may contact you directly if we need any additional documents or information.

ODO/PC7
I-M-28 1ST FL SW BLDG "
1500 WOODLAWN DRIVE
BALTIMORE, MD 21241-0001 Is still listed as address in charge

if i wanted to call make sure the ball has not been dropped WHO would I call ? I do not see a phone number for that address I have a State examiners phone number but it seems like it is out of his hands now? Do I go in to the local office or do I just wait? NO lawyer here just me .

Thanks for reading! Regards, Michelle

Hope your using an attorney for your appeal?

Years ago it was a easy min 4 months but was more like 8 or 9.....Over the years SS is being cutting cut left and right now they are just overwhelmed by the workload....

Maybe now those numbers are doubled?....I filed my SSDI over 11 years ago, lots has changed and our politicians couldn't care less how long it takes us to file or even if we are approved....sad times, I hope you hear something very soon!

Bummer, the rule was file yourself first, and if declined hire a SS attorney....I hope it all works out for you....Lots of stress just waiting and wondering!

So, I called the national 800 number Friday and after 30 min on hold was told

" You were approved and should have gotten an ward letter and payment by now"
They looked and said I needed to go to my local office to get some things resolved so payment could be released.

SO I ran down spent 3 hours there and was told ...

No you answered those questions by phone in late May... Your claim is just waiting at the processing center to be done. IF you do not hear by mid Aug come back.

AUGGGG so frustrating!!
