Default Switching Medicare for a plan C

Does anyone know if switching from standard Medicare/Part D Humana to a Plan C will trigger the dreaded 455 ? Humana went from 32/monthly to 53.10 for 2023. I want to lost them. I never use either as there is no treatment for peripheral nephropathy that I know. Thanks

I dont see any reason why it would....Now a heads up on any of those plans. They were created to eliminate Medicare. If you switch you are now dealing with a for profit insurance company. They will delay and try and not to pay for many things. They tell you the good and ignore the bad. If you have a problem and want to leave it isnt easy to get back on Medicare.

I have friends in the medical field and daily people show up trying to use there insurance away from home. They are quite shocked when nothing is covered. I live in a very touristy place were millions visit.

Good luck on your decision, and I wouldnt worry about SS. They are going to do what they do.

Welcome, echoiceman!

Maybe you've already been this route but in case you haven't, I've found SHIP to be helpful with Medicare plan questions. You go to the Website and find the SHIP number for your state.
