For 15 years and I got a lawyer in 2017 to win ssdi at 1,400 a month. The injury happened in 2007. Now ssdi took away 300 dollars from me per month and I only get 1100 a month. Does anyone know why that happened and why I didn’t get ssdi in 2007?

I don’t work and I’m still getting haloperidol injections once per month and taking Wellbutrin and benofen once a day. My body still doesn’t feel right and the doctors don’t want to help.

I hope you can find a case worker, counselor, or even a lawyer to help you. Social Security should have sent you an explanation of any change in your benefits. They don't always do that apparently. Or maybe your address changed and they didn't know that. There are any number of reasons why you weren't notified.

Dealing with Social Security can take all day and many days. It might involve at least one in-person appearance at one of their offices. You'll need to have every scrap of paper concerning your case in pretty good order too.

This is where someone else is probably needed to help by telling you what is important and what isn't so important and what steps to go through to get to the answers you need.

If you are SSI it could be because you earned some income, received money owed you from another source, had someone pay part of your rent or for food etc.

Yes I was on ssdi and got switched to ssi but I don’t get extra money from someone or was working. It just lowered from 1400 to 1100 and I don’t know why?

If you have an account on ssa.gov you can log in and see if there are perhaps any notifications there for you?
You can also use the chatbot there to request a call back or call the main LOCAL number and then say "Help Desk" when prompted for an extension. That should get you through faster, and requesting a callback that way avoids the hours long wait times that can often occur on their phone system

SSI payments are lower than SSDI and so that may be the reduction reason? It all depends on your situation, and they are the only ones who can provide the details

you will often get better information from your local social security office. they have access to information that the 800 number and the help center do not.
