Default Psych Eval in 2 hours, Help please

Hi, I was hoping someone here can help me. I applied for disability, started the process a few months ago. I do have a Disability Advocate Grp helping me.

The caseworker from the disability office(not my advocate) has called me a few times to get my docs to send back forms she sent to them, to push it along. She seems nice enough. Well, she told me to expect a a letter in the mail, she set me up for a Psychologist Evaluation with one of their docs. I got the letter, its today in two hours. Okay, thats fine, but I am petrified really, I don't know what they are looking for. I have chronic pain due to spinal surgeries(cervical) that failed and now have lower lumbar issues.

What is this appt supposed to do? I will be honest, I am very depressed due to the pain and not being able to work, the pressure it puts on my husband, the fact we live with my Mom due to me being unable to work anymore, which in itself is horrible and causes me great anxiety and is testing my marriage. Depression is not keeping me from working, PAIN is.

What should I expect? I am terrified that I will say something wrong while being truthful, that will hurt my case. Odd thing too, years ago(9), this doc was my husbands Psychologist. He knows the anxiety issues hubby has due to stress already(and this was prior to my injuries), and me telling him, that hubby has to work 70-80 hrs a week to pay our bills, my meds, my medical ect, he knows how hubby will be stressed to the max. I did tell my advocate that he was my hubbies old Psychologist, she said it shouldn't matter, as long as I feel comfortable. I do, I have no problem with it. He was a very nice man, just very quiet, doesn't say much, just writes.

Anyone know what I should expect? What are they looking to find out? Any help would be greatly appreciated. As I said, I am petrified I will say something wrong while being truthful. I am depressed, very, due to not being able to work or help support my family and I am tired of being tired, unable to sleep due to pain. I'm even afraid to tell him that.

Help, thanks!

sorry, too late to give any help. I would just say to be honest - if the dr knows you and your situation he should be fair.
Wondering how it went for you.
