Default First meeting with SS lawyer

Well, I just met my new SS attorney for the first time today. The meeting went well but of course my TN wasn't cooperating. I was having strong shock twinges all morning but when I got the the lawyers office it subsided and was only mild pains. It reminded me of taking my old dog to the vet, she could be sick/hurting bad enough to warrant taking her to the vet and she would get there and act like nothing was wrong. Luckily I did have a few 5's" at least and she saw it in my face. All morning I was hitting strong 7's and 8's (out of 1-10 pain scale).

I handed her a pile of papers from both docs and hospitals covering the past 5 years, and its only about half of whats out there. They will be contacting every doc and hospital I've seen in the past 10 yeas, enough medical proof to remove all doubt. The attorney was extremely happy to see how much I had already, enough to make her very confident in my case.

Now its just a matter of time. She said she will fie for reconsideration first and that takes about 2.5 months in my area. And if that is denied she wil file an appeal and that is currently about 1-1.5 years here. She also said that they have even getting faster and cleaning up the backlog and it could be decided within the year, but I have to take a wait and see on that.

Jerry
