Default disability question

I recieved my fully favorful letter a few weeks ago,but i havent recieved any paper telling me what my back pay will be or the amount of my monthly payments? Should i be recieving that before any checks? Also,no one has ever said anything to me abt direct deposit??

there should be a number on the letter you can call or go to your local ss office. back pay is a different story. normally you will get the initial letter letting you know you are approved. they might put in it the monthly amount you will be getting. it should also have a date on how far back they are going to approve you for. ie: disability date. that will determine how much backpay you will be getting
