I am moving out in a month and am concerned that I will have to pay additional childsupport. My son is disabled and gets SSDI under my record as it is, MORE then I get I might add, so are they going to expect me to live on less then what he gets? I mean together we have 1300 a month but apart he las 700 and I have about 650. HOW can I make it on less then that? Isn't the fact he gets SSDI I applied for for him cover my part of his support since it's drawn off my record? I have a feeling I might be getting shafted shortly but I can't live here anymore...

Gosh, Pam!
((Hugs)) to you! I am pretty nil on SSDI/SSI knowledge. What I *do* know is that your son's check will go to him, or whoever is caring for him (until he's 18 y.o. and able to manage his own financial affairs). That I know. I also know that if you live in a residence for disabled- they take medical payments, including medications, and childcare into account for what is charged for rent. I hope that helps you! Take care, Shez |
