Question I received notice today that my IME for mental exam cancelled...

Hello Everyone,

In the mail today, I received a letter from the State of OK, Disability Determination Center, that states the following:

We now find that this mental examination will not be necessary at this time and have cancelled your appt. with this doctor. You do not need to report for this examination

Your Social Security file will continue to be processed in keeping with our agreement with the Social Security Admin.

Have any of you encountered this during your claim for SSDI?

Thanks for your input
Dew

Default No mental exam?

Sounds like someone gave your file a better look. If this was a reason for a denial, the letter would most likely have said so. Sounds more like they are dotting the i's and crossing the t's and are getting set to approve you.

Cross your finger, pray and anything else you do for a positive outcome.

Talking Hi

I received a phone call the next day, requesting more information about my WC case from the local SSDI office, as I AM APPROVED (took 10 weeks from the day I applied for SSDI, on my own..no atty.)

Hubby drove me to the SSDI office and I signed a paper promising to share any information in the future concerning a possible WC settlement(SSDI $$$ off-set rule).

Thanks for your reply
