Default Administrative law judge asking for payroll records?

My wife has MS and applied for disability benefits in September of 2006. She went before an administrative law judge on January 13, 2009!! New national hearing center, via video. It's now April 3, 2009 and the judge has requested payroll records from her former employer......what does this mean? Please tell me this process is almost over!!!

Default payroll records

The judge is trying to determine when your wife last had Substantial Gainful Activity. SGA is when income was over 840 (now 920) per months. She can only award back pay to five months after her income dropped below the SGA level.

Example. My last SGA over $840 was October, 2004. My back pay will start in April 2005, 5 months after October 2004.

she was making $40K+ per year before she was disabled in Aug/Sep 2006. Since then her only income has been long term disabilty insurance. Will this impact SSDI?

I would have to check on the $9800,does it make a difference if it's long and short term disability insurance? That's something she purchased and I'm not sure if it's considered traditional income?
