Confused When are social security payments made with direct deposit?

I was approved for disability and I am waiting on my first payment. They are scheduled for the third wednesday of each month. I figured with direct deposit you would see them on that Wednesday. It is now Friday afternoon and I haven't seen it. Is this normal or should I be worried. Anyone have any experience with this?
Thank you

Mine came on the 20th via direct deposit.....the 3rd Wednesday, as always

Did they tell you it would start this month ?

When I started getting SSDI, I got the big back pay check in the mail, then I called them with the direct deposit info and that started the next month.

I have been waiting 9 months for my kids' checks.....they keep telling me "Well, you should get by next month" Glad I'm not holding my breath ! Call them Tuesday morning, because it sounds like they are not paying you until next month. I hope I'm wrong

Your benefit letter should have stated what month it would start. It can be one or two months after you are approved.
