Default ALOT of pain!!!!

Just wondering if anyone can give me some info..
I am having pain in my neck when i look in either direction for the last 2 days. This includes up/down!
I feel ALOT of pressure in my spine as well...
It feels as if something is being pulled in there..
Also yesterday i felt a tightness in the sides of my upper chest!
Today it seems to be "resting" more in my back lower shoulder blades.
Anyone else ever feel this? It's not like a stiff neck..It's different.
My doctor seems to blame everything on fibro!!!
Thats why i'm not just making an appointment right away.
I haven't worked in a long time and have ALOT of medical bills that i cant pay now.
So if anyone has any ideas on how to ease the pain or whatever.I greatly appreciate it.

Hi Kellie~
Sorry to hear you're having so much pain! (((Kellie))) I'm not a medical professional, but the "pulling" part kinda sounds muscular. Have you tried heat or ice to see if either alleviates the pain?

I also have Fibro, so I commiserate! Some days nothing works. How about tylenol alternating with ibuprofen? That might help the pain a little if it is muscular or Fibro.

If the tightness in your chest persists, I think I would call my doctor to make sure it isn't something serious.

I hope you start feeling better soon honey! Hang in there and keep us informed!
Hugs,
Jan

Default Alotofpain

Hi, your pain sounds alot like, arthritis in the neck. You mentioned that you take relafen? for
arthritis or the fibro you have. I also tried the tramadol. Didn't notice any improvement in my pain. Have you had an MRI of your spine done?
Even my Xrays done first in the Dr. office showed the arthritis, bone spurs, problem areas of my neck. Nerve pain also is VERY different than any muscle, ache or strain, also it moves around. very unpredictable...Well God Bless You & give you the strength to cope w/your pain-problem.

Kellie,
It sounds a lot like muscle spasms of the upper body - much like what those of us with thoracic outlet syndrome seem to get.
Do you feel like your upper body is kind of locked up?
does it feel like your collar bone is being pulled into your throat? { I had this feeling when my spasms were very severe and my top ribs were pulled up and got stuck up against my collarbones a expert PT was able to drop them back down- in one session}

many of us have had odd chest pain/tightness - mostly due to the spasmed muscles, there is a nerve that goes along there also - many did go to dr or ER for heart check and was found not to be heart attack.
But better to be safe than wrong about that.

we have threads of helps and suggestions on the forum.
heres one-

If it is spasms- some deep slow steady pressure/ massage/stretching might help to release it- but not too rough or too much so not to make it worse.

I have been feeling better. Thanks so much for all the replies!!
Jo ,YES I did feel like my upper body was locked up tight!!!!!
I didn't feel the feeling in my collar bone so much.Ifelt like something was pulling on my spine from the base of my skull though. It was rough for a few days there!!!
I try not to take the relafen so much because i simply cant afford all this medicine.I forgot to add lidoderm patches to my little list down below..LOL
I put those on various spots of my back for pain as well!
When i go into a flare i start back up on the relafen iand it seems to work really well for inflamation!!!
I will def check out that link..
Thanks again for everyone that posted and showed such care and concern
