C5-C6 fusion in 1983. Pain and numbness returning. Now what?

A fusion at a given level does have the tendency to make levels above/below unstable--many find some years later they're back for additional surgery.

That's what happened to me numbness and pain 5 months post acdf of c5,c6.
C7 became a problem and osteophyte was removed as well as decompression for old nerve damage. All good now. Take scans to surgeon so he can review them.
