I am new to these things, hope i am doing it right.
Help! I am in a dilemma, I am moving ever closer to having a spinal stimulation implant fitted, probably late April or May I have at least three more hospital appointments before I know if I am to be accepted for it. I have also been given some reading about what to expect, the implications are quite far reaching, things like no driving for six months, no lifting except something like a kettle, and no raising your arms above shoulder height, this is because it is possible to pull the leads out. After everything has settled down, it must not be switched on whilst driving or operating machinery, my hobby is wood turning both these things cause me pain so I can only switch it on after the event. All the time it is on you feel an electrical tingling sensation. So my question is has anyone on here got any experience on this implant or know anyone who has it and are they happy with it? I need to decide pretty soon if indeed it is offered to me as a candidate. |

Hi I'm also interested in this subject. Although I'm only 4 weeks post Laminectomy and know it will take quite some time to repair I would be fooling myself to say I'm not wondering if this surgery has worked. It's hard when the pain is the same as before sharply in the shin and hip/thigh. Lyrica is at 375mg and I don't want to keep that up for too long. It will be interesting to speak with the surgeon next week for his expectations of recovery and or what is next.
Ps beautiful day here laying down listening to good music. Phil Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Hi,
I had a St. Jude Eon spinal neurostimulator implant put in for back and leg pain on 2/7/12. Since day one of the surgery I have had chronic tinnitus (ringing in the ears). I never had this before. It has progressively gotten worse and my surgeon simply shrugs his shoulders as do the company reps. I need relief from this as it is getting unbearable! Does anyone else have this issue and found relief? Do I simply have to get the darn thing out? Please post any help replies here. Thanks so much in advance! David |
