A seven car auto accident

Nicky321 04-07-2007 12:15 PM

I dont think my symptoms are directly from injury but I was knocked down by a car when I was 12, but I was a competitive swimmer and put a lot down to that. Over training, weight lifting etc. But I'm more inclined to think my problems sciatica, degenerative back problems, arthritis in my back, knees, and shoulder and torticolis are more inherited from my dad :( I first started having problems with my knees at the age of 13/14 and I am 38 now, so i have suffered one way or another for more than half my life.

Was apparently born with very narrow spinal canal. Surgeons kept asking me if I had an accident, but other than a gymnastic mishap of falling on my head when I was 16, can't think of anything. I was frightened into having ACDF surgery three years ago at age 44. I didn't really have pain, just numbness and an odd sense of self. I know: sounds weird. I have to say, the surgery was not bad for me -- but it took a long while before I felt "normal".
