Hello Everyone! Recently I have been experiencing horrendous pain in my lower right back. The pain also is present in my right foot. I approximately 250 pounds and 5'11" so, I think there are alot of factors to consider. But I do feel like something is physically wrong as well. I had XRAYS done, and all bones appear ok on both foot and back. MRI however, based on my "google-ing" appear to be disc related towards the lower part of my back, which is where the pain is present, and I don't know how to tell if nerves are pinched.
I appreciate any comments. Sergio |

Did you get the MRI report also?
The reports are usually helpful - sometimes it is hard for us to tell much from 1 image angle. If something is found - on the report it will tell you what level { L 4 -L5 etc} then you know where to look on the films.

Hi! Thanks for the response, I haven't yet, I will receive results and reports on Friday next week. I was just hoping for some insight before then. I know I should wait for the reports. Now I did get other images, I just thought that was the best one... is there something else I should post?
Thanks, Sergio |

My screen is set dark to reduce glare for my eyes so it's hard for me to see the MRI image clearly.
You can also upload more of the images into your profile picture album - they might be larger and clearer that way. this chart might help you pin point the pain areas and what level of the spine to focus on. {you might need to make it larger to read it easier}

I did some image enhancement & cropped the bottom of that image.
If you can compare it with other views of your films to see if the L5?? looks the same - it seems like there might be some compression there. It gets real thin and then starts to widen again at the bottom of the image.

I appreciate all your help Jo!! I have a few more images to attach to see if it helps... I am going to my doctor today for results interpretation - I have pain across my entire leg and primarily back so I think it does have to do with L4 and L5. I guess I am not describing it well enough, mind doesn't really process where does it start, where does it end, when did it start, what caused it when all you feel is pain !
![]() Attached are some more photos, I don't really know what I am looking for and I have these animated clips so I just try to get to the middle of the clip and send that over... let me know if they help or not really. Again I appreciate your help! Hopefully this can be fixed! Can L4 L5 be fixed? Right now everything points to that... Sergio |
