Frown Pain, to happy, back to Pain

I had a doctors appointment today, well, thats what was written on my little appointment card. Ended up being next week and the girl wrote the wrong date on it. No big deal.

So I went down the road to my family doctor and got an appointment for 30 minutes later.

My lower back is out of control. It's put me down for awhile and has only gotten worse. So, the doc looks at me and checks me out. Says it seems to be the sciatic nerve. So, I was given a shot in my left buttocks, I guess where the sciatic nerves goes through the buttocks and then down the leg.

Wow, that was easy. Pain free shot. I had never experienced on. Nice.

Well, worked for about 2 hrs. Then the pain came back with a furry.

I was told that the shot should start working in a few hrs but could feel it within 10 minutes working. I thought, wow. Maybe my trouble's are going to be over with my back hurting.

Well, that shot was given to me 13 hrs ago, its 1:10 am here, so as you can see, I am in full blown pain and can't sleep.

I guess I have a question. If it did work for about 2 hrs, does that mean it was the sciatic nerve with nothing else wrong. Or, since it worked for only 2 hrs, that something else is wrong or its worse then just that?

If it is the sciatic nerve, something has to be causing that to be a problem. It started when I had to wear a rocker boot for 7 days, which I had worn months ago for several weeks. But, about 3 days into wearing this time, my lower back started to hurt and it has gotten worse and worse.

Any ideas, suggestions, comments will be great fully accepted.

I hope this isn't anything worse, as when I had some injections in my foot, the doctor told me it should last a few weeks, then when it only worked a few hours, he said that it meant I had nerve damage in my foot and if the nerve block didn't work that well, then the damage will be bad.

Thanks in advance....

And I love you all.......
