before my ACDF surgery my physiotherapist tried taping on me to help with pain, posture and swelling. To be completely honest it didn't work for me. Not saying it doesn't work for everyone, lots of sports medics use this technique, but in my circumstances it did not.

If you are going to try this, I would make sure a professional applies the tape to ensure you are reinforcing the best position/posture.
Good luck!

There's some info & posts on kinesio taping on our Thoracic outlet syndrome forum - http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...t=kenisio+tape
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...ghlight=taping

TOS affects the neck, chest & upper back muscles.

Default best postural help

you may want to check the egoscue technique, realignement by postural stretching, sound like you have upper back flexion with rounded shoulder. there is clinic egoscue throughout the US and there is also a great book called "pain free" by pete egoscue.
