Default hip and back pain together

Look at my sig.
I had hip pain both hips, back doc said probably from back, but after back surgery pain in hips didnt get any better. Saw hip doc who said i have labral tears in both hips. Cause pain in groin and hip and down outside of legs where getting worse after back surgery. Back felt better after surgery but not for that long before back pain was back. I wish i would have know about hip labral tears before back surgery. Would have had just labral repair in hips and not microfracture surgery in rt hip. Cause it took so long to figure out it was labral tears in hips, did damage to cartilige in hips that why needed microfracture surgery in rt hip. So go to hip doc and get checked for hip issues. Wish i did.

I currently have a herniated disc at the L2-L3 level. I don't feel much pain around the disc itself, however the pain I do have is in the hip going down into the groin out through the leg to my toes. This pain is all related to the disc.

After 5 surgeries and heading soon to my 6th, this has been more painful than all the others.

Had my third epidural this past Tuesday and I am receiving lots of pain relief. This means I will have pain relief by doing another surgery...which I am looking forward to.

I have decided to start back up on my PT exercises to try to stregenthen the core muscles and see if the pain subsides. One thing that PT had me use was an SI belt to help stabilize my SI joint, that helped my back pain and hip pain.
Did PT provide you with the SI belt?

I have a herniated disc at L5 S1, I cannot lay on my back without getting a burning pain in my thighs. It it making walking "interesting" to say the least. I do feel some pain in the hip area from this too.

My wife has had three spinal surgeries. After her final one, the surgeon referred her to therapeutic massage clinic. A one hour session discovered and released multiple referring trigger points in her hips and low back; two more sessions stopped the pain.

The piriformis, a 3-inch long muscle that is buried beneath the gluteus maximus can entrap the sciatic nerve and cause pain, tingling and numbness that radiates down the leg and even into the foot--in fact, in 25% of the human race, the nerve passes through the piriformis. Turns out that was my wife's problem.
