Default body predicts the weather a plus i could do without

hello all,
took a while for meds to kick in, the weather has been awful here. i drink coffee, dr's recommend (interventional pain management. he performed the discogram c2-c3,c3-c4,c4-c5,c5-c6, under fluoroscopic guidance and who also administrated 2 cortizone injections) to alleviate my daily headaches that comes from the pain in my neck and some.
coffee, good thing i enjoy coffee, not easily made, it takes hands that behave. i go to the pain doctor today, it seems as though my surgeon just continues ignoring my calls. his behavior is inexcusable and although his secretary listens and assures me he receives them, has even her to the point of "eva i don't what more i can do a you are absolutely right he is out of line". called this morning, was told he was in surgery. i asked, "will i receive my script today" i was only given a 2 day supply of pain meds from er visit due to 2 days 0 pain meds. his office is aware of this and "HE" still has not called. i know he gets it. i want to speak what's on my mind, like how could you let one suffer like this? shame on him. i did not go into this blindly, i have always done my homework, a compliant patient, followed his orders while he preformed 2 surgeries with a 75% chance of most not all pain relief. i would take back the pain i had before any surgery. i am mortified at my doctors behavior, and oh well, i may be a disappointment to his "ego" but it is me left maimed and left with more pain than ever before. it will be interesting, i wonder how long it will take him to return a call,(pick any message i dare him) i haven't been given a follow up appointment. as for my returning back working he gave thumbs up via my daughter, well i would like the opportunity to express that you need thumbs that work, in order for that, using a pencil is how i'm typing and it is taking forever. I AM GRATEFUL FOR MANY REASONS, FINDING YOU ALL DOES HELP MORE THAN YOU COULD IMAGINE! i am certainly not alone. this weather is killing me! can anyone else predict the weather via your pains! lol

feel the best you can!
if we could only laugh all day
thanks a whole bunch for the support

Sometimes, but not always. The OA in my neck & upper back kept me up all last night, ostensibly due to weather - unresponsive to the NSAIDs I take for it "as needed", and I'm up again tonight because (as I mentioned elsewhere) my internal clock is all messed up.

I've noticed that (at least) a couple of the weather services have either arthritis or aches & pains indices on their sites for a few years now. I always forget to check them and/or correleate them to my own pain. Not much point, really - I know when I hurt, regardless of the weather!

We used to have a cat that could unerringly predict rain within 24 hrs. She would sleep with her head upside-down. Whenever we saw that, we'd say she was going to make it rain again....

Hi ~ It sounds like you're a barometer like I am. Whenever the barometric pressure changes, I'm in agony!

Your doctor SHOULD have informed you that pain is NOT a reason to have surgery, and he should NOT have predicted how much pain relief you'd get. Surgery ONLY corrects mechanical problems -- it many times does not ease pain. Many times you end up with the same pain or worse -- so any doctor who says he can relieve your pain is WRONG.

I'm sorry you're having such trouble with your doc -- I think we've all been thru this before. If you think that your doctor isn't treating you as he should, I'd find another doctor! You need one who will adequately treat your pain/condition and won't ignore your calls for help. I know that finding one isn't always easy -- many of us have had to see numerous doctors before finding one that cares.

Best of luck & God Bless! Hugs, Lee

Default don't know my own body, yeh right, now you call

good day all,

doc, les a bunch of stuff came up on computer screen and just pushed keys trying to navigate, i'll get it someday my baby 13 year old in school got too do by myself lol i'll also try to learn computer short hand doing this well ya know PAIN

u will not believe what transpired in the last 24 hrs. FINALLY i get a phone call from surgeons office, get this half hour before office takes calls, service picks up till 9:30, don't want 2 leave anything out lol, (sweetheart, she really is, says, "doctors sending script via fed-ex express about an hour wait") i said thanks, but too late went 2 c the dr (hey, not bad) my pain specialist changed my meds 20,20,20 oxcycontin long lasting, may find i might not have 2 take middle dose thus only having 2 take 2 pills in a day we'll see what happens but just the idea of relief seems so far away, took a moment 2 call pharmacy delivers @ 3:00 & after
well. here is the punch, i explain about my pupil 2 him he says it is possible after such surgery horners syndrome could apply in my case, damage 2 the something pathway trauma 2 the nerve, damage, i also explained i was being tested for hypoglycemia 2 boot anyhow 4 that 2 is a symptom, so far levels are within normal range. i requested 2 meet with the surgeon, 2 have him call me in person, 2 make it! i'll be dammed, and a knock @ the door, fed-ex. 2 late, i concur les, before i throw him off the train, he still has a job 2 do, answer any or all of my concerns. i yet 2 fuse it isn't complete, and he certainly is not getting off the hook so easily, u would figure that after telling his staff about my pupil (i'm sorry, i not a dr. of any kind, but if u ask me, that is a RED FLAG) it was great 2 laugh reading ur responses.
I KNOW MY BODY, I MISS MY OLD SELF OCD AND ALL STILL KEEP ME GOING NUTS I ERE 2 THE SIDE OF NEAT AND ORDERLY, which i must say has helped in many situation, BUT EVERYTHING IN MODERATION LOL

i wish all a pain free day
