Default Looking for info on Ulnar Nerve Transposition

hi everyone,

I'm looking for information on Ulnar nerve entrapment and ulnar nerve transposition surgery, can anyone point me in the right direction? Do we have a forum on here for that as well?

My neuro wants me to have a second surgery since it's his belief that my ACDF did not correct all the areas of pinched nerves in my hand. He called it a "double crush".

Has anyone else had the same nerve pinched in two locations and had to have another surgery so soon after a fusion? (my ACDF C5, C6, C7 was only done in March, still healing from that so another surgery right now is pretty scary).

Really looking to learn more about success and/or failures on this next surgery.

Thanks!
Cathie

Some older posts about it on our thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) forum and possibly some on the RSI subforum.

TOS can have the double crush or triple crush involvement also.

But might be easiest to use the whole forum search tool -

Thank you, I will check them out. I don't know much about TOS, I guess I'll have to learn more about that also.

Appreciate the direction!

Thanks Eva, I am trying to stay positive and educate myself on as much as possible before I consider any more operations. It sure gets frustrating being on this never ending roller coaster of ours!

I have lots of dr's for sure, neurosurgeon, family physician, naturopathic doctor, physiotherapist... getting tired of all these opinions, but it's good to know all the angles as you are aware.

Wishing you a pain free evening as well... tonight has been brutal for me, my acupunture session today only aggravated nerves, been more pain then I would like to admit... ugh.

u dear cathie,

the real deal
do u get sick of hearing yourself moan with pain
or even find yourself thinking out loud
and the cussing that comes out of my mouth
my daughter is like MOM!
i am just so angry at situations and their residual reminders
it was never as this painful
keep ur chin up as best u can
