Default cool advice and cool quotes/doc

I read all the quotes. What I got the most out of all, was "Peace" I guess the key is not to worry, as it does get in the way of compassion. I liked that one too. You find the coolest stuff Doc. medicine for the soul. ginnie

Ginnie, stop worrying so much - you're stressing me out!

Wishing you fewer stressors.

Doc, thanks for the post with links for the connection between stress and pain. I want to spend some time on those.

I'll add just one more:

Tomorrow is a Mystery,
Today is a gift -
That's why it is called the Present"

Thanks again for the links. Things aren't quite so scary when we know a little bit more about them do they? Well, except for back surgery....just kidding Doc!! Learned that pain does not always actually increase, but that our tolerance level may be decreasing as time goes on. Interesting. Was somewhat surprised they did not mention outside stress in relation to pain/chronic pain.

Hey Doc, sometimes the steps in the Vicious Cycle do not come in that specific order do they? Not prone to depression here, regardless of circumstance thank goodness but that insomnia steps right up to the front - well 2nd to the pain. Can't GO to sleep for the pain, then WAKE from the pain. Guess that may have more to do with PAIN MANAGEMENT i.e. the drugs being currently used - in my case anyway. Of course stupidly over-doing may have a lot to do with it, but I cannot seem to STOP myself - because if I did what my body is telling me I would just be on the couch all day - then that Depression would SURELY set in. Acceptance (and patience) hasn't thoroughly taken hold I suppose....

Hey, we've got Kung Fu Panda too!
(Didn't care for the sequel as much - didn't have quite the same "feel" for us. Not that it wasn't good - just liked the first one better. YMMV.)

Running family gag: We're horrible with names; can never remember Oogway and Shifu, so we call them Agway and Seafood.

Mmmmm.... Stress is stress is stress, and (I believe they did mention this) pain is a form of stress too.

OTOH, there is bad stress and there is good stress. E.G. sex = good stress!
