5/11 surgery for spinal stenosis-
Now I have to wear heavy AFO's. Both feet are numb. And I have fallen several times. I can use a walker but my thighs get very weak. I have always had depression but never like this before. The psychiatrist doubled my antidepressant. It is helping. I just can't believe my life is winding down this way and I know I will eventually be in a nursing home. My dear husband helps me so much. I have elimination problems as well. I don't know much more to talk about right now. If you can help,,or not or just be my understanding friend.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Doni

Hello everyone

This was posted on the aneurysm forum - it sure sounds like this lady needs some support - so I copied it to here. I hope someone can give her some support and friendship.

So sorry it is taking so long to recover. I think a good start might be to get a second opinion on what is going on as I wouldn't particularly want a psychiatrist treating me post op. as it has been my experience that they don't usually have the big picture. Just a thought. Lots of hugs and best wishes.

Hi Doni ~ I have to agree --- I think I'd get another opinion from a Neurosurgeon or Orthopedic surgeon!!! It sounds like you're having an awful lot of problems from this surgery! It's been much too long since your surgery -- you should be doing better than this. Please get at least two more opinions and see where you stand!

I'm so sorry you're having so many problems. I can see why you're depressed, but a psychiatrist isn't going to solve all your problems. Lets see what another Neurosurgeon can do ok? God bless and let us know what happens. Hugs, Lee
