Default No help

I am so disapointed!!! The cervical injection did not help @ all. I cant even have my head straight for an period of time. I can no walk upright so thats a plus. I am going back to work tonight. Im nervous because I am a server/manager of a very small but extremly busy restaurant. I LOVE my job but it is brutal @ times on our best days lol!! Praying I can pull through. I have never considered not being around anymore until now. I dont want to be a burden on my family. I dont want to struggle financially I have an amazing husband and mom but we are finally @ a point where we should be enjoying life and Im bringing everyone down. I love my life until now. I should be chasing our grandbabies not limping around like an 80 year old woman. What do I do???

Don't give up hope, you never know when a fix or help might be right around the corner.
I haven't read thru all your other posts, so I'm only responding on the basis of this one.

Any other treatments besides injections?
Spinal PT , therapeutic massage, TENS, Low level laser, hot tub?? any of those types of things ?

If it become a chronic pain situation and surgery is not an option, there are also pain pumps & SCS (spinal cord stimulator).
we have a sub forum for more details on those.

Don't stick with a doc that isn't being proactive enough for you.

I know everyone has differing opinions on chiropractic, but maybe a highly skilled one can be of help , depending on what the MRI shows.

PS
I found & read your first post , What was the result of the MRI?
The double scoliosis? anything else?
Was the degree of curve mentioned?

My niece had severe rotational scoliosis and had a 9 ? level fusion as a teenager. Hers was continuing to curve as they tracked it every 6 months. So they had tpo do the surgery to stop it before it became debilitating.
She seems to be doing well , it's been 3 or 4 years now.

Default Dear Mrssalkire

I agree with Jo Mar, don't give up. Please consider getting another neurologist. If you have not gotten an MRI, before you subject yourself to more shots etc, ask for one. That actually should have come before the injection. Also there are other types of injections that don't hurt like that. They numb the area and use a floroscope to guide the needle, I was very scared, but they didn't hurt before or after. I went to a pain specialist. Your quality of life is being compromised. I hear your sorry in your voice to us. Go get more help, and consider a new neruologist, one that is active for you, and maybe even a pain specialist. I go see a pain specialist who is also a physiasist. This is a doctor who does standard pain care, but adds nurtritional suppliments to try helping at a cellular level. Please don't give up, even if that means a trip to another town. This kind of back pain, I have had too, and it is no way to live a life. NT will be here for you. Let us know what you decide to do. If you do not know the Name of a good doc. to see, ask your pharmasist, and your PCP for doctors and specialists they know to be good. I do wish you all the best. ginnie

First, put THOSE thoughts out of your mind; that option is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Then talk to that amazing husband; if you think he's amazing now, he's just getting started. Keep the lines of communication open -- with him and with your doctor(s). If you don't have the right doctor(s) for you, then as Ginnie suggests, consider making a change. Your family isn't done needing you, and you aren't done needing and enjoying them. Not by a long shot.

I don't know how pro-active you've been about your health/medical issues in the past, or now, but if you haven't been, I think you need to become so, or possibly even more. It sounds to me like you've got a cuss of a lot worth fighting for.

Doc

Default hello mrsalkirie

I just wanted to tell you I am here for you. If there is something I can do to help. please contact me. Talk, that goes a long way toward healing. I so hope that you are trying to contact a new doctor. There is help out there if you will just seek it. Your family needs you, and you need them. This is also a way to stay closer than you ever were to them. If you need to find referrals, post what city you live in, maybe we on NT can find someone to give you some help. Post, let us know how you are doing. We stand by those who need help on NT. We care. ginnie
