Default New pm doc today

So I was able to call in and get an earlier appointment thank goodness or I wouldn't have had any kind of meds to get through until the 17th. Kinda an awkward first meeting as he says he "never writes on a first visit for anything" to here are 60 percocet 5/325 one for morning one for night. Nope nowhere near enough to get me through the month let alone out of pain, but it is a step in the right direction and he said he would work me up from there just had to await urine tests to come back with what they should have in them. Just have to figure out how to stretch them two a day somehow, and deal with the pain until next month!

I wish the appt. had gone a little better. Assuming this is a decent chap, if you keep your end of the dialoge focused on your symptoms and how they are effecting your level of function and quality of life, the meds should get increased. The first few appts. seem to be a lot about relationship building and establishing trust. Hang in there.

That's what we discussed, and here in Florida it is pretty much protocol. As I said he wrote me for something, and that is out of the norm for him and he did say he would get me where we need to be. The only real complaint I had was my appt was 12:30 and I didn't get seen until 2:45!

Wow, you had a long wait until you were seen! I hate that! That USED to happen at my docs office, but things are much better now, thank Goodness!

I sure hope he can work you up to where you need to be med-wise, soon. The current Rx sure isn't going to do it, I'm sure. So I hope you don't have to wait TOO long until you're properly prescribed. Keep us posted, huh? Hugs, Lee
