Sorry to hear the pain was so bad, Lee! It would be difficult with your job. Fortunately, mine isn't that bad. I have a largely computer job and sit a lot. That concerns me since the pain seems to start mostly in the tailbone and upper legs, esp when sitting upright. Although I have a lot of pain laying down, that's usually after I've been sitting or standing a long time. So I'm not sure how I'll do back at work. I'm most comfortable lying on my side. Hopefully it'll get better over the next couple of weeks. I intend to take it VERY EASY for the time being. I've ordered a couple of chair cushions in the hope that they'll help, too.
Thanks again, and hope the New Year brings better days! |
peaks.and.valleys
Well, I.just.had my year.anniversary. You will have peaks and valleys. Stay positive and your in control.of your destiny. Physical therapy (pt) is good for you but it will be hard. As Bill Murray said "Baby steps" in a movie. Forgot which one. Your first goal is to walk, faster and stronger. The next step.is pain mgt. Without meds! I'm still working oj this but I have neuropathy from fusion L4,L5,S1, but I haven't.given up..It gets better,.slowly, but better. Your in it for the long haul.
