I hope that pain will be reduced if you have the surgery. I was facing that same decision. It did help my pain for what ever reason. It is not unbearable any more. Let me know what you doc. says. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. ginnie

There are two people having the appt. on the 26th. I won't forget you in my prayers that day. I hope that something positive can be done to help you. Just wanted you to know that not all surgery turns out bad. I will look forward to hearing from you. ginnie

To bad he was a good guy and i found out he past away a few yrs ago and i tryed to get my medical records but there long gone.

Had a talk with the doctor about surgery yesterday. Not sure what to make of what he said.Yes I have issues in my back but he doesn't think that's the root cause of my poly neuropathy and I have a problem with Sensory & Motor .Then he said Doctors aren't perfect and they do make mistakes so if I want to have surgery he would do it and its a 3hr surgery and if it did help or solve my problem then he was wrong. The next step is hes going to try and get my mri results from 2001 of my back and compare to see what has changed, because the doctor that did the surgery on my neck in 2001 made a comment while I was in the hospital offerred to operate on my back as well and of course I said no.I go back in a few weeks and talk more.My Flexion & Extension xray was good no problems.
