Dubious --good to see you my buddy :winky: |
I just had a nerve conduction test done last week on my hands and neck that has been very revealing. I apparently have carpal tunnel in both of my hands and pinched nerves that are so bad at this point that I have now been informed that I have to have small outpatient surgery scheduled for both of my wrists or I will eventually lose the use of my hands.
The test also revealed that I have pinched nerves in my neck as well as some type of damage to the cervical nerve root in my neck however I do not currently possess the official report from the test yet to know exactly what type of damage. Has anyone had this surgery done on your hands before? Honestly I am feeling very stressed and worried about it after getting this incredible earth shattering news. |
Hi Eddie -- Yes, I had the surgery for carpal tunnel. It's a SNAP. No problem at all. Very simple surgery. BUT -- I did have to wear a brace for about 6 wks afterwards. Now that was back in about 1999. Things might be different now. They may not make you wear a brace anymore -- I really don't know.
But like I said, the surgery was very simple and I can barely see the tiny incision. ;) I'm SO glad I had it done because before it was done it was SOOOO painful!!! Take care, and God bless. Hugs, Lee |
