G'Day .
On March 19 2007, I had spinal fusion on L5/S1 . The wound leaked CSF fluid in the hospital so my stay was extended . Has anyone else experienced CSF leaks ? When and how did this resolve ? Last edited by Chemar; 04-07-2009 at 08:34 PM. Reason: edited at member's request |

Hi there. I had L5/S1 spinal fusion on March 27th. I developed a leak and had surgery to repair it 3 days post my surgery. I laid flat for 5 days and when we tried to gradually get me up I again had horrible headaches. Went back to the OR as the patch to repair it the first time tore. Again I was flat for another 5 days. This one took. Thankfully. I can tell you after being down and I finally got up nothing worked. I was very dizzy, my legs were jello and I too was very depressed. It took some work and determination but it did/does get better. Hang in there, I am rooting for you !!!!
