Remember that the surgery is NOT for pain, necessarily. The surgery is for MECHANICAL problems. The chances are good that you will still have the same pain if not worse.
 You MIGHT get lucky, and have your pain reduced, but don't be surprised if your pain is STILL there. It might feel better in the beginning, but it will return after a little while. It SUCKS. That's just the nature of surgery. They can't seem to get it right.  They can send men to the moon, but they can't relieve our pain. Drives me nuts. Anyway -- best of luck and I'll be saying prayers for your surgery's success! Hugs, Lee
