Hey, don't apologize (sp?) I'm not the only Jan in the world! Add 20 on to yours and that the one, YIKES! I just made Hank (hubby) a t-shirt that states "How can I be old? I haven't grown up yet!" Does anybody else make their own personalized t-shirt here using heat transfer sheets?

/waves to the gang

So good to see you all. I finally got the 'puter up and running after the move and found the old forums down. What a bummer!

Glad to see you all again. Its true that you don't realize how much you rely on something till it's gone.

Default I'm here, too

Yes, I am here, too. Wow, I go away to have my surgery and I guess BT couldn't exist without me because just about the time I felt like getting on again, I discover BT couldn't exist without me. Man, talk about feeling important!

Anyway, the surgery is 2 1/2 months past, I'm going through what the nurses called "waxing and waining", where the pain goes away for a few weeks, then comes back for a few weeks.

And just when I thought I was suppose to be pampered and catered to, my hubby comes down with severe pancreaitis which has developed diabetes, too. So, I waiting on HIM!

Ok, I'm back, I'm alive.

What a relief.......to see friendly faces and know that we can reunite again. It's been really lonely. Although I post mostly on CP forum, this is where I began back in 97-98 and still read. When I realized my spine was far too gone to do any fixing, I found myself gravitate to CP, as managing my pain is my only option. Unless, of course, a medical emergency arises from spinal issues.

All of you have helped me in many more ways than I could list. BT has truly been my lifeline to get and give support.

Now is a good time to just say THANK YOU all...........you have been missed immensely. Looking forward to the resurrection!!!

Peace, Love and Hugs!!! shotspine

Smile

Im still here also. Been one BUSY BUSY summer and hasn't stopped yet. My back/knee doctor started me back on P/T again for my back and knees again. Well I went to see him for my knees and told him about my back and he said they cant do surgery (because of all my other health issues) and prescribed more P/T. I do have a lot of tone problems also.

I know my lowerback is probably getting worse because now Im getting the burning shooting pain down my leg especially when Im sitting. The neuropathy has gotten worse also.

Now we also think Im having seizures and the eeg I had came back abnormal. So now Im on seizure meds.

So on top of all the OTHER appts I already had, I have new appts and therapies on top of those. This month I have MAYBE 2 days (weekdays) where I dont have SOMETHING scheduled.

My two younger boys and I leave tomorrow for Sacramento for Ronald McDonald house because my youngest has his yearly MRI for his brain cyst and Chiari on Tues and sees the oral surgeon on Wed for his HUGE jaw cyst then we come on on Thurs. Then Friday I have more P/T.

HUGS and glad to see you all again.

Default Hi Janster!

Glad to see you here. I have been here for just a little while.
Just lost 33 lbs. I am soooooooooo excited. May have started finding out what is wrong with me too. Got a rheumy appointment Dec 19 so...maybe? Not going to get my hopes up too much though. Could be it is what PainFree was telling me about. Myofascial pain syndrome or could be fybromyalgia or both. Seems they cross each other.
Hugs((((((JAN)))))).

Default so this is where you are hiding...

My old computer burnt out during the hottest june for years and I replaced it with new Dell Dimension top of the range machine which well...er... doesn't work.
I assumed I was the problem and ordered my son home from Scotland, where he is studying computer science.
After many hours of tinkereing and about a thousand hours of talking to their call centre in India the damn thing still crashes and my son declares it to be a hardware problem as he thought from the outset.
Dell, however want me to purchase from them at a cost of 60 pounds($100) another copy of windowsXP and for us to spend further frustrating hours going through it all again.
Anyhow, the boy has declared 'life is too short ' and it is down to me whether to spend half my life at a non functioning computer talking to an incomprehensible half-wit at the other end of a phone line. For his part, he never wants to see a Dell computer again.

I am writing this on my son's computer(which cost half as much as mine). Thanks to him and Google I found you all again. My son is back at Uni in a couple of weeks so I will again be without a computer unless I decide to spend more of my hard earned pennies.

It is nevertheless wonderful to be hearing how you are all getting on.
