Default Post acdf accf symptoms help

Hi I am 10 days post op. all and all i seem to be doing really good not needing any pain pills in a neck brace 24 hrs a day. Itichy around incision but sure tat must normal. The last four nights I have woke up with severe stomache gas and pain. I get up this sound disgusting but belch like never in my life for about 5 or so minutes then subsides. Sometime twice a night. I am fine during the day don't feel sick changed up diet still no change no stomach Robles at all once I am up and release the gas. I usually never have gas and didn't have this the first five days after surgery. Can this be related or totally different issue? Anyone ever have anything like this?
Thanks

Default Hi rhondaroo

Glad you are doing good after your surgery. I am wondering if some medication you are taking is causing the gas. Anything new? You were put to sleep with IV Right? No gas before the surgery? Eat a bland diet for a day or two and see if that helps. Some veggies cause gas too. Soup, toast, that kind of thing, just to see if diet is the issue. ginnie

Cool Thanks Ginnie

Yes I had a general through IV. I had some heavy duty drugs the first three days morphing Dilantin oxycodone Valium and flexeril. I haven't had to take hardly anything for 5 days. An oxycodone or flexeril once or twice. I have been eating a lot of yogurt and fruit smoothies. I have been eating veggies but that pretty norm for me. But other than that mild chicken turkey meat loaf. Maybe too much fruit. Trying to eat high protein and calcium maybe that's it i will try cutting back on fruit and yogurt and veggies.

Thanks didn't think of that. I was thinking maybe it was a side affect late onset from general or something I should call doc about. I see him in a week.
Thanks Ginnie I will see how it goes.
