After umpteen operations on my back and two failed spinal cord stimulators, I went to a new Pain Management clinic and the doctor did an ultrasound. Never had one before. He noticed my muscles in my butt were enlarged and spasming.
After an MRI showed no further damage to my back and no compression on the sciatic nerve, he said it was muscular. Looking on the internet I read about Piriformis syndrome and this sounds exactly like what he meant. I wondered if anyone else has this? |
