Default laser results

So far the new laser has given a few results. The first day I used it 10 times longer than is recomended to see if it really does anything and this is what happened.
-I got a head-ake and so did my wife who was in the room part of the time.
-I got a stomach-ake which resulted in lose stolls
-Pain increased in my back

From what I understand these sidefects are signs that the laser is working. I am now using the laser twice a day for 10-15 minutes a session which is 2 to 4 times longer than is recomended as one session should last 6-10 minutes. So I'll keep yall posted as to how this turns out and if a low level laser is a good investment or not.

God bless
,Mike

Last night I got really sick and I feel it was a dirrect result of exposure to the laser so I decieded to end my trial and return the laser as I feel there are some negitive side effects to it's use and a danger to my family. Although I did have some postivie results as it relates to my back I would not recomend anyone to buy a low level laser for home use as there are better treatment options.

Hi Mike, just wondering if you used it too much? Why not give it a try at the suggested levels?

Default special pillows?

Where do you get these pillows? I have cervical stenosis, with pain even after my surgery a year ago, and I think I've got just about every special pillow ever made, and half the massage cushions ever made, but none of them works perfectly and I'm always looking for more.

I didn't think anyone could get a laser for home use. They are dangerous at therapeutic strengths? Also, what is causing your pain? I don't know if I read carefully enough, but it seemed like I never saw a posting saying what is wrong with you.
I'm a firm believer in getting a diagnosis before I treat.
It's also true that when they go out and x-ray backs at random, they find enough slipped discs and stenosis to cause major symptoms in 50% of adults, but much much less than 50% have symptoms(problems). It's also true that NOT treating some problems can cause other, chronic problems.
Just a reminder

(P.S. I've been eating natural foods (including steak) and almost 100% whole only grains since 1965 and think many 'alternative' therapies are great)

Yea lasers are dangerous if you get one be carful. Your right I may not have posted it or posted in a few pages back so here is what I got:
T-2, T3 hereation
T3, T4 herneation
L5-S1 herneation
Some kind of undianosed ligament damage in my neck which cause me great pain. I got this all in the military so the VA has me covered.

I'm 24 years old 170lb's and very healthy otherwise. I also have a wife and kid who are very supportive and I study acupuncture and oriental medicine.

That is true I did use it excessivily. Though it was my plan to over use it. See the laser costs $1,200 and I wanted to see if using it a lot would make a difference in my pain level and the amount that my back cracks in a day.

What I found is that the laser has side effects which a person may not notice if you use it at the recomended levels and it made very little difference in my pain level and no difference in the amount that my back and neck would crack in a day, couple that with a $1,200 price tag and a 10 day return window it made no sence to keep it. If I would have used it at the suggested dose I would have been stuck with a dangerous product that does not do much.

Default New formula

I'm on a new herb formula that helps to heal my ligaments and tendons rather than treat pain. It tastes horable but I like it and it is very cheep ($6 per week). It's name is: "Du Huo Ji Shen Tang" I use it in the raw form.

May God bless and help to heal you all

Default Swimming

I have enjoyed swimming my whole life but never realized how much it actually helps your back until last week when I hopped into the pool and noticed less pain and cracking in my back after the swim. So I changed my exercise program now it looks like this:

M-45 mins yoga 5 minutes strength work in gym 20 mins streching
T-45 mins yoga 10 min swim 20 mins streching
W-repeat monday
Th-repeat Tuesday
F-repeat monday
Sat-repeat tuesday
Sun-1 1/2 hours yoga, extra heavy ab work, 20 mins streching

If I feel tired I take an easy day, but the swimming is key.

God Bless
,Mike

Default Home therapy

Me and my wife have been doing some great home therapy as of late, here is what we are doing:

First I insert one acupuncture needle at DU 20 then my wife does lite massage on my back followed by a shiatsu thumb press down the transverse processes of the vertibra then placing her thumb on the spinous processes of the twisted vetibra she manually untwists the twisted vertibra then presses on the transverse process of the twisted vertibra with her thumbs we follow this with about one minute of Gua Sha then we apply fire cups to the areas that I have pain and leave them for about 10 minutes then repeat the shiatsu pressing down the spine then apply Wood lock medicaided oil to my whole back. This whole thing takes 5-10 minutes of work on her part. We have been doing this twice a day (the cups only once) for a few months now and it is very effective at eliminating the pain in my neck and back.

May God bless all who read this and help them to heal
