Default C5 & C6 spinal compression

My MRI showed C5 & C6 bulging disk compressing spinal cord. The Neuro Surgeon is gone till the 17th but on call. My apointment is on the 20th. They did give me an emergency number if needed but I'm not sure what they would consider an emergency.
This started in February.
Electrical feelings shooting all over, I wouldn't even have to move.
Pain, neck, upper back, lower back.
Cold feet and hands. Burning trunk of body.
Then my fingertips started to hurt and burn intensely.
Now my hands get swollen, red & white blotchy the more I do with them.
Bad balance walking.
Dr. blew me off said I have neuropathy go home get bg down and do stretching exercises. I do have neuropathy in feet and legs from diabetes
I started seeing a chiropractor that started to help with lower back.
Then I asked for a referral for a neuro. Couldn't get in till I begged last week because things are getting worse, she did emg and ordered mri.
I've been doing some reading but because I haven't talked to the surgeon I don't know what I'm looking at here.
The things I read are just scaring me more and telling me not to wait but it seems I don't have much choice. I'm thinking of calling back on Monday to talk to the nurse again.
Maybe I should tell her about how my neck is today, sore and some cracking going on. I'm worried, how do they know I'll be alright for two more weeks, I'm afraid of more damage.
