Exclamation Spinal Fusion Need Opinions

Hello

I had a spinal fusion in 1991 L-4--L-5 Overall I have had very few problems except for the last couple of years. Just went through the injections and they did not work. My neurosurgeon is recommending a fusion for the disk above and below the existing.
My question is has anybody been thru this type of procedure and what was you outcome and quality of life afterwards.
