![]() so I went back to Dr and have a date for surgery the Dr. report stats I have screws in the c4 disk space and not in the bone and a failure to fuse the previous c4-6 acdf. and there are spinous process wires in the c4-6 posterior elements but no bony fusion, he said my pain is caused by the screws being in the tissue not the bone and it never fused right .... any info are input would be welcome as I am scared to death for the 4th time . I don't know how much more I can take of so much pain and wondering if my neck will ever be fixed again... ![]() |

I will be thinking of you. I had a cervical fusion with a plate and two screws two months ago. I think it was C5 & C6. I'm having a lot of neck pain right now and see the surgeon at the end of this month. I hate this.
![]() Do they know why yours didn't? I had a good neuro surgeon but I haven't been following the recovery plan to good. I have been way to active working in my business. I also have not quit smoking, (embarrassed to say) So I have a big reason right there to worry about the fusion. I know it will be awhile before we hear from you because you will be recovering and it will be hard for you to go on the computer. Wishing you a successful surgery and recovery. Please post when you can. Take care |
