Confused What is FOOT DROP??

Hello there,

This is only my second post. I did post a few weeks ago about Calf Spasms w/ Ankle Locking.

I did see my GP about it and he didnt really seemed too concerned, he said it is likely the first sign of what he called 'Foot Drop'. He sent a referral for an MRI which was booked pretty quick and is booked for Dec.

I am wondering if I ANYONE had any info with regards to 'Foot Drop'. I don't like to 'Google' these things because you don't know ehat to believe.

Any help would be appreciated!! THANK YOU!!

CHEERS🍀

Just looking in here and saw this post....

You might try the magnesium lotion many of us use here for muscle cramps and tension.

Morton Epsom Lotion... it can relax muscles, reduce pain, and improve circulation to target areas where there are problems.

Walgreen's and online at Amazon. (many places don't carry it yet as it is new).

Use only about a nickel's sized dollop on your calf and lower leg, it will reach the ankle too, and rub it in. It is wonderful stuff and inexpensive too.

I have ended up with a foot that feels like a foot drop, weak foot/ankle. This is on my right foot which is the side of a hip replacement in 2010. I've ended up with so many complications with this hip job and not long after this surgery I was seeing an integrative rheumatologist for acupuncture, mesotherapy (homeopathic injections) and some prolotherapy. Saw her for close to 2 yrs and she is the one who suggested I start to use a neoprene foot support and I do daily to keep my foot as stable as I can. My recent purchase is a copper threaded support and I like it. So I do go back and forth with these 2 supports.

I use a lot of topicals and mix up a lot of my own "brews". I add drops of DMSO to a lot of my mixtures as I do belong to a DMSO group. Using DMSO does not worry me for a second. I like tea tree oil too which I also add to my brews or use it alone.

I don't know if it's a "legal" foot drop but my right foot is much weaker. It's arthritic and could be some nerve damage too. I ended up with femoral nerve damage from the surgery. And all this could be from shorter leg outcome from surgery.
