Default L5

Hi all, back from the surgeon and the latest MRI shows a bone spur and childhood fracture of the L5. The surgery of the L3 I think was successful ,thigh pain gone. L5 is numbness in ball of left foot, shin pain and buttock pain. My surgeon is going to take the bone on the side of the L 5 and grind it down to powder and then expose the vertebrae back to the blood vessels then screw a plate to spread the L5 apart to take the pressure off the nerve. Then cover the plate, vertebrae and screws with the ground down bone to create a bone graft. 1 week in hospital and 3 months recovery. But I'm upbeat, there's light at the end of the tunnel.
My positive thoughts are with you all.
